Welcome
Welcome to Campaigning Through Time, a ‘historum’ for the discussion of military history and the archiving of current events and commemoration. As founders, our goals were to create a community that would last, that would pride itself on purposeful discussion and relaxed moderation, and would ultimately nurture and encourage interest in military history. Working with the University of Kent's Military History Society and their network of students and alumni, we hope to extend military history to all who wish to learn more. All are welcome!

If you are new to our site, have a look at our rules and FAQ, browse our upcoming events, get help with coursework, check out our magazine, peruse our archive, or simply have some fun!

Registration is fast, simple, and absolutely free, so join the discussion today!

Welcome to the University of Kent Military History Society forum!

The Military History Society is a place where we hope to promote the field of military history as a valid academic field of study, as well as, most importantly, to have fun with all things military history related.

We have no limits to what course you take or what you are interested in, we are here for YOU to make use of.

Our interests vary from:

Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and Britain
Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Norman
Medieval Period 1100-1500 - Hastings, Hundred Years War, War of the Roses etc.
Renaissance Europe
Tudor, Stuart and Hannovarian Britian - English Civil War, Jacobite Wars
Early Modern Europe - Seven Years War, American War of Independence
Napoleonic Wars
Victorian conflicts - Indian Raj, South Africa
WWI & WWII
Cold War
Falklands War
Iraq and Afghanistan

plus many many more, too numerous to write on just one page. If there is something you wish to look at or want covered, such as the 3rd Anglo-Afghan War, or the Spanish Conquistadors or any other area of military history then contact one of the committee or use the Feedback and Suggestions area of this forum and tell us. Chances are that others are interested too, but haven't told us. We will try our best to include everyone's taste.

Please join up for one of the most different and fun societies on campus! Sign up for membership of the society by going to the society page on Kent Union's website here: http://www.kentunion.co.uk/societies/10554/ and click join.

The Forum

The forum is here as a way to let our members know what we are up to, leave us suggestions on how to make the society better, provide an area for discussion and research and also give course help and advice to help our members in their studies.

Don't worry if you can't see some of those sections at first glance. The majority of the forum, including our news archive and research and discussion sections can only be seen by registered members. Registration is open to everyone, is free and will only take a few minutes. Please sign up to enjoy full use of the forum!

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
